Frequently asked questionsWe like the idea of a photojournalistic approach to wedding photography but we would also like some formal photographs of our family and friends? While specialising in the photojournalist approach, I understand that there is also a need to take some formal photographs. However, due to the nature of my photography I like to limit the amount of formal group photographs to no more than six or seven otherwise it may be detrimental to other more spontaneous photographs. I will ask for a list before the wedding and that you nominate a person familiar with the family and guests to help organise them. A little bit of organisation before the event ensures that formal photographs are taken quickly and with the best results. How do you decide whether to shoot in black & white or colour?I always discuss this and other details at a pre-wedding consultation. Some people prefer lots of black and white and others prefer the majority as colour. After discussing this with you I will be able to judge the percentage required and will shoot accordingly. Do you employ or outsource to other photographers? Most definitely not! If you book Distinct Image to photograph your wedding it will be me who photographs your day. I do not outsource any work to other photographers. Will you travel to my wedding?Yes. Although reasonable travel charges will apply if outside of Essex & Suffolk. How do I know if you are the right photographer for me?The first thing to do is look through the portfolio sections of the website to be sure that you like the style of photography. If you are interested I then I would recommend that you contact me to arrange a meeting to look at some sample albums of previous work. How do I make a booking? You should first call or email to check availability for your wedding day. If you want to proceed I can hold your booking for 7 days to give you time to return the signed contract and deposit cheque. |
